Coffee Valley - Brazil in the XIX century - Day trip to Vassouras
In the XIX century, the Coffee Valley, around Rio de Janeiro, was responsible for 75% of all the coffee production in the world. This was the richest period in Brazillian economy!
But all this fortune and fame came through the hands and hard work of enslaved Africans.
In this tour, we will have a scenic drive to the city of Vassouras (2h from Rio) and visit one of the beautiful farms that tell the history of this important period in Brazil.
I personally offer this tour because I have lived in Vassouras for many years and my family still holds our cozy country side house there. Our property is in the family since around 1930. Of course we will visit it!! And have a nice coffee and warm cake, as we Brazillians like to do!! :-)

This tour can include overnight in one of the farms or gardens in the area. In 2 days, we can also include the visit to more than one farm, visit small local breweries of Beer and Cachaça in the area.

- City tour in Vassouras
- Visit Museu
